MORRIS CAME FROM A CLOSE FAMILY OF 6 CHILDREN. HE WAS BORN IN GRAHAMSTOWN IN 1924. FROM HIS VERY HUMBLE BEGINNINGS IN HIS FATHERS BUTCHERY HE WAS ABLE TO BUILD AN EMPIRE OF NACHAS FROM HIS CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN.

HE WAS A KIND AND VERY GENTLE MAN WHO HIS FAMILY COULD ALWAYS RELY ON. HE WAS THE STRENGTH OF THE FAMILY AND A PERSON WHOSE INSIGHT AND OPINION WAS A SOURCE OF GUIDANCE.

HIS WIFE OF 58 YEARS-SHULAMITH WAS TRULY A SOLE MATE AND SUPPORTED HIM IN HIS CAREER PATH WHICH INCLUDED LIVING IN KENYA, ZIMBABWE, U.S.A. AND SOUTH AFRICA. MORRIS REALLY LOVED HIS WIFE AND HIS DEVOTION TO HER WAS UNQUESTIONABLE.

HE WORKED HARD TO PROVIDE HIS CHILDREN WITH THE BEST. ONE OF THE THINGS HIS CHILDREN WILL REMEMBER HIM FOR WAS HIS STORIES AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE FAMILY HISTORY. HE INSTILLED THIS PASSION IN HIS SONS WHO WITH HIS HELP HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RECONSTRUCT THE FISHER FAMILY TREE WITH OVER 5000 NAMES. HE HAS ALSO HELPED TO GUIDE ALL HIS CHILDREN IN THEIR CAREER PATHS AND SPENT VALUABLE TIME IN ALL THEIR BUSINESSES.

MORRIS WAS VERY CLOSE TO HIS GRANDCHILDREN AND THEY WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM FOR HIS HUMOROUS STORIES. THEY WERE THE JOY OF HIS LIFE AND HE WAS VERY PROUD OF THEM ALL. FOR MORRIS, SPENDING TIME WITH HIS GRANDCHILDREN WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF HIS DAY. WETHER IT BE ON SHABBOS, PLAYING CARDS ON THE DINING ROOM TABLE OR GOING TO FLEAMARKETS AND MUSEUMS HE WAS IN HIS ELEMENT EXPLAINING AND TEACHING ALL THAT HE KNEW.

MORRIS SPENT A LIFETIME USING PHOTOGRAPHY IN HIS EARLY DAYS OF MARRIAGE AS A LIVELIHOOD AND IN LATER YEARS AS A HOBBY. HE HAS LEFT A LEGACY FOR HIS FAMILY OF MEMORIES THAT HE CAPTURED ON FILM. THESE MEMORIES CAN NEVER BE REPLACED AND HIS EARLY FILM, DOCUMENT THE MILESTONES OF HIS FAMILY. HE HAS INSTILLED A LOVE OF PHOTOGRAPHY IN BOTH HIS CHILDREN AND HIS GRANDCHILDREN.

ALTHOUGH RETIRED, HE ALWAYS KEPT HIMSELF BUSY BY BUYING AND SELLING SCHMUTTAS. HE WAS ALWAYS LOOKING TO PURCHASE A GOOD DEAL, MUCH TO HIS DISMAY OF HIS WIFE WHO CONFINED ALL HIS GREAT FINDS TO THE GARAGE.

HIS LOVING INSIGHT AND OUTLOOK ON LIFE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED IN THE FONDEST WAY AND WILL BE SORELY MISSED. HE WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US IN SPIRIT AND CONTINUE TO GUIDE US THROUGH OUR PATHS OF LIFE.

MORRIS, WHO WAS A HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER AND FRIEND, WAS ALSO A STRONG AND DEDICATED PILLAR OF THE FISHER FAMILY AND WILL BE SADLY MISSED!!
